it is easy to let ourselves fall into despair when reading these latest messages from bisan, from motaz, from saleh….the grief and hopelessness in their words is unfathomable, but it only means that the rest of us have to keep doing everything we can.
i saw someone talk about this on twt as well but once u engage with organizers offline it is clear that the movement is alive and well, that the fight will continue on…..let this grief sit with you and will us all into action, please.

I no longer have any hope of survival like I had at the beginning of this genocide, and I am certain that I will die in the next few weeks or maybe days. I have been sick with severe viral infection for days and cannot move from the mattress!
I suffer from nightmares that are so closely resemble reality that I no longer differentiate between reality and dream.
I live in a world other than the one I claimed to be building! I am a community activist who lived on the fantasy that the world was free and just, and I sought to bring rights not only to my people, but to many men and women in third world countries!
I was shocked that I was not from the third world! Indeed, we are the most humane and moral! "donate to gaza" "humanitarian aid to gaza" "raise money for gaza" and egypt, gaza's neighbor that has the only border through which aid can get through, cannot currently get aid through to gaza because israel is refusing to let the trucks pass. the gate was supposed to open three hours ago in a deal struck between egypt and the US to let foreign gaza nationals out and humanitarian aid in. now israel is denying it. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said in a statement: "There is currently no truce and humanitarian aid in Gaza in exchange for getting foreigners out." and this is after israel bombed the border crossing three times in the past week. this is the reality that's happening right now. the tonnes of aid that countries are donating, the money the EU is promising, all of this is NOT GETTING THROUGH TO GAZA. if egyptians cannot get through to gaza, nobody can!!!!! the only fucking way this happens is through international pressure to hold israel accountable and that is currently not happening!!!
this is genocide. israel is a fascist state with genocidal maniacs in charge, and they want gazans obliterated, they want gaza gone. this is genocide happening right in front of us. and the entire first world has sanctioned it.

Anera is one of the few orgs able to work directly in Gaza, delivering food, blood, and medical supplies, in addition to their regular activities in economic and agricultural sustainability and sovereignty. I’ve worked with them before and highly recommend.
